Laser Skin Rejuvenation.
What is Laser Skin Rejuvenation?
Laser skin resurfacing is a popular cosmetic procedure that can help rejuvenate the skin and reduce the effects of the sun, aging, and some facial skin disorders. Treatments are safe, effective, and convenient.
How does it work?
A laser light source is applied on the surface of the skin. The laser light stimulates the cells which are known as 'Fibroblasts' in the epidermis to produce more collagen, this causes the skin to achieve Rejuvenation. The laser light stimulates the body's own natural processes to form new collagen and elastin.
How is it performed?
Every treatment at Park Beauty Salon and Laser Clinic Nottingham is provided by experts. We are expert in Laser treatments in Nottingham.
However, if the outcome of the skin typing analysis raises concerns or places you in a 'higher-risk' patient category, you technician will perform a 'spot test' to check your tolerance of the laser therapy and you will be requested to delay commencing your treatment until the outcome of the 'spot test' can be assessed.
The Laser Skin Rejuvenation treatment itself is relatively painless and there is no need for anaesthetic cream. Your technician will keep you fully informed of what is happening throughout the treatment.
Do I need to take any precautions before having the Laser Skin Rejuvenation treatment?
Any kind of tanning should be avoided for atleat a month before Laser Skin Rejuvenation treatment. Some important tannings such as sunbathing, applying fake tan, tanning booths, etc must be avoided.
How long will it last?
Once you have completed your course of Laser Skin Rejuvenation treatments a monthly maintenance programme will be designed for you to ensure the results last for many months. Using the recommended homecare products will prolong and enhance the results of any professional treatment.
What are the risks?
The effects of this light source as a skin enhancer were discovered through its use in hospital dermatology and oncology departments. The light used doesn't have dangerous UV or infrared rays or generate heat, so it can't burn the skin. The treatment is unsuitable for anyone who suffers from epilepsy or porphyria. Avoid exposure to the sun for 24-48 hours after treatment and use sunscreen and moisturisers.
Are there any special pre-cautions before undergoing the treatment?
Prior to a peel you will be expected to prepare your skin by using the recommended homecare products for two weeks. This will ensure that your skin responds most effectively and your recovery time is minimal.
After Care Please be Aware of:-
+ You may experience a small degree of 'redness' in the area treated.
